Rodney Collins
Psychiatrist
Dr. Collins started his academic career at Stanford University and he graduated in 1979, with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He received his medical degree from Howard University, College of Medicine in Washington, DC, in 1983. From there he trained at King-Drew Medical Center and the US Army in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Collins started his medical career in the United States Army as General Medical Officer, working as a Captain in Emergency Rooms and Urgent Care Centers. After receiving an honorable discharge, he practiced eight years before returning to residency training in Psychiatry at UCLA-Olive View and Sepulveda VA Medical Centers in North Hills, CA.
His knowledge of addiction and associated behavioral issues allows Dr. Collins to treat his clients with empathy and understanding in providing solutions to the issues they face. Dr. Collins was born and raised in Southern California and enjoys skiing, exercise, sports, tennis, racquetball, movies and reading.
